Travel
We hope you have a lovely and unforgettable holiday for the right reasons. It is therefore important to get travel health advice and be vaccinated against some serious disease that may be found in parts of the world you are visiting.
When planning your trip abroad, it is important to get travel advice as soon as possible.
Once you have decided on your destination, you will need to complete a travel questionnaire for each person travelling and return it to the practice at least 8 weeks before your departure date. Please give as much information as possible as this will help the nurse ensure you are given the correct advice.
Patients are advised to check for any updated information for their destination in case there are any changes by looking on the National Travel Health Network and Centre website.
If you book a last minute trip abroad and are leaving in less than 8 weeks, you will still need to complete a travel questionnaire, but depending on the destination and departure date, you may be advised to obatin travel health advice and vaccinations from a private Travel clinic.
