These can be obtained by ordering 2 working days (48 Hours) in advance. Your request can be dealt with in a variety of ways:
There are several reasons why your medication may not currently be on a repeat. These include:
Even when a consultant recommends for you to be on a particular medication from secondary care (e.g. hospitals) – the responsibility for prescribing is ultimately with your GP.
Your medication can still be ordered on a monthly basis, even when it is not on repeat. You can ring dispensary to request it or order on systemonline, you can write it on the bottom of your repeat slip or even come in and ask at the dispensary counter.
Each time a medication is issued, the doctor can decide if it is to be added onto your repeat medication list or not. Just because it is not currently on repeat, it does not mean you cannot have your medication.
Please allow two full working days (48 hours) for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
We provide a medication delivery service to shopkeepers, Post Offices in outlying villages without a pharmacy, and through Europe Car Service at Greylees. These villages include: Cranwell, Leasingham, Silk Willoughby, Greylees, and Anwick.
Urgent medication can be obtained from the practice during normal opening hours, which is 08:30 until 18:30 (Monday to Friday). During out-of-hours Boots, Gohil, Riverside or Tesco chemist would be able to assist you. Boots, Riverside and Tesco are open Saturday and Sunday, Gohil’s are open until midday on Saturday.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications. Please ensure that you book any appropriate appointments when requested to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
