URGENT NOTIFICATION
Unfortunately there is a national problem with the chemicals used by laboratories when testing blood samples. So, with immediate effect, we have been informed to pause routine testing of blood samples. We do not know when a normal service will resume.
Our reception team will be calling patients to cancel any non-urgent blood tests over the next few days, at this point we are re-booking these appointments for a later date.
Any that are deemed urgent by a clinician are currently still being taken and sent to the laboratory for processing. The department of health is looking into this and we will keep you updated once we have more information.
Clinics for flu and other booked appointments are not affected and will go ahead as planned.
We recognise this will cause frustration and anxiety and apologise for this but this situation is completely outside the practice’s control. Thank you for your understanding at this time.
