The practice now utilises sms messaging for any results that require further follow up. Following your test at the practice therefore, whether this be a blood, urine or faecal sample, if the result requires further action we may now text you with the details. This may be to ask that you contact us to book an appointment with a clinician, to book a further blood test or to advise that you start supplements.
For those that do not have a mobile number recorded, we will continue to notify you via a member of our Reception Team giving you a call.
The introduction of text messaging into our process of filing the results saves time from both a practice and patient perspective, as it allows us to notify you immediately and clearly, without the potential delays posed by the calling process.

Our process will remain the same for results that are satisfactory and do not require any follow up action. We will not contact you with regards to satisfactory results, only if the result requires a conversation. If you have not heard from the practice regarding the result of a recent test after a period of 1 week from the test date, you can of course contact us to check the result if you wish.
