We are aware that patients may have concerns about their Covid vaccination, following the recent media coverage of EU countries suspending the use of the Astra Zeneca/Oxford vaccination. Further to the advice of the UK Medicines Regulators, we are continuing to administer this vaccine at the vaccination centre at The Meres. If you have concerns, we suggest that you review the guidance from the MHRA.

We have no further information, only that it has NOT been confirmed that the reports of blood clots were caused by the AZ vaccine. Patients should still go and get their COVID-19 vaccine when asked to do so.
